SKLERO S.A. was founded in 1972 under the name "Ganoulis & Co. Ltd" in Thessaloniki with the purpose of importing and trading steel within the industrial branch of Thessaloniki, which was arousing at these far days. Next to this, the company was a pioneer in heat treatment of steel, by introducing german technology and know-how into the greek market. During these years, SKLERO SA has provided expert quality service in engineering materials choice and in thermal processing of both ferrous and non-ferrous metal alloys for the automotive industry, the military, machine shops, foundries and other manufacturing companies dealing with metals. The efforts of the management and the personnel were always focused on the customers' satisfaction and the following of quality restrictions, in order to improve the service and the quality of all products. This leaded in 1998 to the certification of the company's quality system according to the ISO 9001 standard.
In 1993 the company was renamed into SKLERO S.A. and moved to new facilities in the modern Industrial Area of Thessaloniki, where it is located up today, on a 6.000m2 plant, which hosts the office, the stocks and the heat treatment facilities. The building is equipped with everything necessary for the modern demands and the safety restrictions of such enterprises. Recently, the connection to the gas net was established, thus the energy consumption and the air pollution were pushed down drastically.
Constantly through investments for modernization and growth of the facilities and capacities, SKLERO aims its target of high quality and short delivery times.
The company's employees are trained workers with practical experience in heat treatment of steel. For the technical supervision of all the processes, the machinery and the quality control Metallurgy and Mechanical Engineers are responsible. Thus the following of international quality restrictions is guaranteed.
